Meet Killer Queen Black Community Caster, KG

KG, Official Indy Gaming League Caster and producer of KQB’s IGL Weekly TOP PLAYS, has been casting since the Spring of 2020. He’s no stranger to the KQB Community and as a result, is a go-to for how-tos. Other KQB accolades include the publishing of a stunning visual guide to maps and more — and rocking the role of ‘Hive Help’ in our official Discord server.

KG co-casts with a variety of people, in fact, several casters who now lead their own casts were once guests with KG.

It’s been a great experience for KG to share his knowledge with other KQB players, see what else he had to share with us:

KQB: How long have you been casting?

KG: This is my third IGL season, I started in the Spring of 2020.

KQB: What games do you cast?

KG: Just KQB.

KQB: What inspired you to get into casting?

KG: Getting to hang out with friends and talk about the game seemed like a big win-win to me. It’s played out that way so far!

KQB: What games do you play?

KG: Overwatch, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Borderlands, and Far Cry are some of my favorite franchises. I also have way too much time logged on Enter the Gungeon.

KQB: What’s something about your casting style that makes your streams unique?

KG: Most of the time, we’re not mentioning every single thing happening on the screen for the viewer. I love to have conversations with my co-casters and talk about strategies, the “meta,” and all the fun things teams are doing. KQB is so open-ended, so there’s a lot of room for interpretation and creativity.

KQB: What’s a favorite casting memory of yours?

KG: Casting Spring T1 East finals with lightsabermetrics, the Good Games Gang team all had profile pictures from the 2000 NBA dunk contest, where Vince Carter put on an absolute clinic. During our match, there was a lengthy delay due to a player’s technical problems. So during the delay, I pulled up the highlights from the dunk contest and we all watched some nasty Vince Carter dunks during the T1 finals. It was great!

KQB: When you aren’t gaming or casting you’re?

KG: Traveling and supporting Boston sports teams – whenever the pandemic is over.

KQB: What animal is your kindred spirit?

KG: Definitely not a STARfish, ha ha ha…

KQB: Is there anything else we should know?

KG: Don’t forget to send me your clips every week for the Top Plays videos!

KG is the ultimate KQB resource!

Catch a cast to learn more about gameplay and have a great time!
