Meet Killer Queen Black Community Caster, lightsabermetrics

Lightsabermetrics cast a Killer Queen Black community tournament in March of 2020 and has been delivering entertaining streams ever since!

He’s been into casting for the last decade and considers himself to part of Tear Bears (Obo, RetroHero, Alteffor, egeefree, Teiko, Penguin, maybe one more 👀) – despite what Elyse says – and Death of a Snailsman (treebones, HattrickSwayze, EarthBowser, ChuckBerry, and keyboardskater). A great crew that usually joins in a cast or two – lightsabermetrics also enjoys tagging up with players who might not usually cast, but he thinks would have fun and do a good job with it.

We asked a few more questions, here’s what lightsabermetrics had to say:

KQB: What games do you cast?

LSM: KQB and Super Smash Bros Melee! For KQB, I tend to cast a lot of Tear Bears West matches since I’m on the East team, and a lot of GGG matches since I’ve been friends with a bunch of those players for years.

KQB: What inspired you to get into casting?

LSM: For both SSBM and KQB it was mostly out of necessity – there were some really good games happening that the people needed to SEE.

KQB: What games do you play?

LSM: KQB and SSBM (although not as much SSBM lately with quarantine and all.) I’ve also played some fighting games here and there (Guilty Gear Xrd, crossing my fingers STRIVE is good!) More casually, I really enjoy Pokémon, Paper Mario (first two games), and Elder Scrolls/Fallout.

KQB: What’s something about your casting style that makes your streams unique?

LSM: I tend to cast with lots of first-timers to try to get them into casting, which means that I tend to get a wide variety of co-casters, which I think is neat!

KQB: What’s a favorite casting memory of yours?

LSM: IGL Winter Tier 1 East Finals, GGG vs 2MA with KG. Absolutely insane set and still some of the best KQB to ever be played in my opinion. There was one Split in particular that just blew me away.

KQB: When you aren’t gaming or casting you’re?

LSM: Not doing much because of covid 🙃 I’m also big into trivia and have recently gotten into cooking dishes that require more than three ingredients.

KQB: What animal is your kindred spirit?

LSM: KG. No follow-up questions, please.

KQB: Is there anything else we should know?

LSM:  If you’ll pardon the advertising for a 19-year-old party game, SSBM is a really good competitive game and now is a great time to get into it! DM me if you’re interested! Also, if you live in the US, vote, please!

What lightsabermetrics said! Can’t wait to hear about your favorite 4-ingredient recipe. Maybe next stream.
